Heyri Artvalley Gate 7: Entrance to where culture and arts bloom
  • Founded in 1998, Heyri Artvalley is a town dedicated to exhibitions, performances, and festivals held by different artists. Some 380 artists including painters, architects, and musicians signed up as members to put up buildings and carry out their activities here.

There are a total of nine entrances including Gate 7, and all of them are connected to Reed Square at the center of the village. The buildings were constructed by or with the help of well-known architects at home/abroad and designed in eco-friendly ways under the principle of non-use of paints and not higher than three stories aboveground.

  • Each of the structures is imbued with the propensities and philosophies of the builders, constituting a work of art by itself. Some of them even have names given by their architects. Building information and architects can be found on the website.

Exploring the whole town takes at least half a day. Thus, getting a guide map at the Community House near Gate 9 is recommended in case of searching for a certain exhibition hall or a building. Likewise, the “Donadona electric bus” awaits those who prefer a ride at the ticket booth near Gate 1.
