Nambu Water Resource Eco Park in Bucheon is a great family picnic spot
where you can spread a mat or set up a sun shade canopy.
This park with its well-maintained eco waterway and pond is a great place for a stroll or as a nature learning center for kids.
A water playground is open in the Kids’ Playground in the summer,
so many families with preschoolers visit the park for a summertime picnic.
Its free parking lot can accommodate up to 60 cars.
In the picnic season like these days, the parking lot is always so crowded that some people park their cars on the shoulders of the road.
There are no restaurants or food courts near the park,
so I recommend bringing some lunch or snacks.
This weekend, I saw some coffee trucks there.
Although you could set up a sun shade canopy on the Lawn Plaza until last year,
sun shade canopies are now allowed only in the Kids’ Playground starting this year.
Set up a sun shade canopy in the Kids’ Playground if you need one.
You can enjoy your weekend flying a kite, playing with a ball, or playing other games
with your kids on the wide Lawn Plaza at the center of the park.
The Lawn Plaza is surrounded by trees. Just spread a mat under the trees,
where you can watch your kids romping around under a pleasant shade.
There is also a futsal court that citizens of Bucheon can use by reservation.
You can play soccer there during times when the futsal court is not reserved.
The park also has an inline skating rink and basketball courts,
so my husband and child work out here for a while whenever they visit the park.
A huge sun shade is set up on the trail where the Kids’ Playground and the eco waterway are located,
which provides a wide shade.
Lots of sun shade canopies were lined up on weekends.
It is already very hot in the sun during the day,
but it was cool in the shade.
This place is Bucheon Nambu Water Resource Eco Park’s most popular facility among children.
Even though it is just a playground for kids now,
it becomes a water playground from early summer.
Access is free.
Since the water playground is operated by Nambu Water Resource Eco Park,
I can count on its water inspection and management.
The water playground is closed on Mondays and rainy days.
Last weekend, my family and I set up a sun shade canopy and enjoyed a picnic
for the first time this year.
Carp and baby fish were swimming in the pond, and the trail was lined with yellow sweet flag flowers.
It was beautiful.
The eco waterway with a streamlet is a good place to enjoy a stroll.
It was nice to hear the sound of water flowing.
