Spring flowers are blooming in rows.
The Korean goldenbell trees, Korean rosebays, and cherry blossoms are already gone, and bridal wreaths, Chinese fringetrees, lilacs, and royal azaleas are in full bloom.
I couldn't go far away this year, but enjoyed cherry blossom viewing in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do.
It was less crowded than I expected, so I could enjoy the cherry blossoms in a peaceful atmosphere.
Generally, tourist destinations well known for cherry blossoms are too crowded to enjoy the flowers. If you want to look around beautiful cherry blossoms in a quiet atmosphere, remember Yangpyeong Galsan Park for a visit next year.
Galsan Park is situated in Yangpyeong Mulsori Trail 3.
You can search online for "Galsan Sports Park".
It was the first time for me to learn that the old name of Yangpyeong is "Galsan".
The trail of Galsan Park stretched along the Namhangang River, well known for its clear water, with cherry blossom trees standing along the trail.
Can you see the endless cherry blossom trees in the photo above?
The trail seemed to be at least 10 ri long (around 4 kilometers), so I called it the "Galsan Park 10-ri Cherry Blossom Road" just for fun.
Most visitors were local residents and bicyclists. Although the trees are still young, you can enjoy cherry blossoms in a quiet atmosphere.
An another merit is that you can take a walk while enjoying the peaceful view of the Namhangang River.
You can also see a variety of trees such as peach trees and cornelian cherry trees along with the cherry blossom trees.
You will enjoy more diverse views than you think.
The yellowish green new leaves budding from the willow trees standing along the riverside looked so lovely.
Some people say that leaves are prettier than flowers. The yellowish green new leaves looked more beautiful than cherry blossoms after I had enjoyed the cherry blossom as much as I liked, so I went down to the trail and walked along the riverside. The trail was a dirt road, so it felt more natural.
I saw a lot of cherry blossoms
and enjoyed the spring view of Gangsang-myeon across the river.
I didn't want to go back home just yet, so I decided to visit one more place in Yangpyeong that was widely known for its cherry blossoms.
As you can see, the cherry blossom trees were huge.
You can compare the size of the trees with the people in the photo.
This place is Bom Farmers Garden.
Bom Farmers Garden is like a secret garden to me, but it is a fairly famous garden-themed restaurant.

Bom Farmers Garden includes a restaurant, gallery, cafe, and garden.
I heard that the cherry blossom trees have been here since old times.
It was really crowded even on a weekday.
Radio DJ Yi Suk-yeong and actor Joo Hyun had visited on the same day.
People were enjoying their time with their loved ones in this beautiful place. All of them looked happy.
(Although I blurred their faces to protect their privacy, I’m sure you can imagine their happy faces.)
Although naturally cherry blossoms are most beautiful in spring, different flowers bloom in every season here. You can enjoy beautiful flowers whenever you visit during the year.
The restaurant building was also impressive.
The four sides of the building were all glass windows. You can see the beautiful view through the windows while enjoying a meal inside, giving a mood like a picnic.
My friends and I ordered the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, Pollack Roe Pasta, and Seafood Pasta with Rosé Sauce. All of the dishes were large and delicious. Prices were around KRW 18,000.
If you make a meal reservation in advance, entry is free.
Considering the price that includes a dish and entry fee, it seems pretty reasonable.
Crocus, muscari, and cherry blossoms made the end of spring even more beautiful. My friends and I really enjoyed an afternoon picnic.
I’m sure you know that cherry blossom trees show beautiful fall foliage.
The Bom Farmers Garden has quite a large number of old ginkgo trees as well as beautiful cherry blossom trees.
This means that the autumn view must be beautiful as well. If I have the chance, I would like to also introduce the autumn view of the Bom Farmers Garden.
